Terms of Service
The rules for using Brightwire Code and the Weekly Class.
Draft — not legal advice. Last updated October 29, 2026.
Agreement
These terms are between you and Brightwire Labs (“we”), PO Box 1275, Twisp, WA 98856. By using Brightwire Code you agree to them. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must review them with you.
Accounts
Parent and teacher accounts are for adults 18+ only. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity under your account, including children’s use under your account. Children do not have their own accounts. Teachers may only add students when their school has authorized it. You can delete your account anytime from your dashboard.
Free lessons
The free lessons and the Week 1 preview may be used by anyone for personal or classroom learning.
Weekly Class subscription
- Only a parent or legal guardian aged 18+ may subscribe.
- Week 1 is free. Each later week costs $8 per child. From your parent dashboard you can pay for a child’s next week one at a time, or turn on auto-renew to be billed $8 per child each week by Stripe until you turn it off. Prices may change with at least 14 days’ notice by email.
- Paying for a week unlocks that week’s video and project for that child in your account.
Cancellation
Turn off auto-renew anytime from your dashboard, or cancel by emailing hello@brightwirelabs.dev. Cancellation stops future charges; access continues through the end of the week already paid.
Refunds
Weekly charges are generally non-refundable. If something went wrong (for example, a duplicate charge or content you couldn’t access), email us within 30 days and we’ll make it right, including a refund where appropriate.
Schools
School and district plans are offered by separate quote. Pricing and any invoicing terms will be agreed in writing.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the site, attempt to break its security, or share paid content or links publicly.
Content
Lessons, videos and site content belong to Brightwire Labs. Code that learners write is theirs.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months before a claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, with venue in Okanogan County, Washington.
